The two key accused in the murder of Udaipur tailor Kahnaiya Lal Sahu were brought to Udaipur late night on Friday, 16 September. The National Investigation Agency escorted Riyaz Attari and Gaus Mohammad back to Udaipur amidst tight security in the continuing investigation of the gruesome murder that took shook the nation and the international community.
As per information, both the key accused, Riyaz Attari and Gaus Mohammed were brought to Udaipur on Friday evening for further investigation of the matter and secured at a local police station all night. They were then escorted under tight security to the scene of the crime (slain tailor Kanhaiya Lal's shop) at Bhoot Mahal, adjacent to Hathipol at around 5.30am on Saturday morning for verification. Subsequent to the verification the accused were taken back to Jaipur under police and NIA escort.
Both the key accused Riyaz Attari and Gaus Mohammed are being kept at a special cell located in Ajmer along with 7 other accused involved in the most dreaded murder incidents that the country has witnessed. The incident took place on 28 June where both the key accused of the incident, Riyaz Attari and Gaus Mohammed went to tailor Kanhaiya Lal's shop at Bhoot Mahal area at around 2.45pm. They started talking to him under the guise of getting a Kurta stitched from him and suddenly attacked him with knives. They two accused hacked him with nearly 20 knife attacks on his neck. A couple of hours later, they floated a video of the brutal murder. The police arrested both the key accused within a few hours from Bheem area of Rajsamand district.The accused killed the tailor after his post in support of the suspended BJP Speaker Nupur Sharma who made an objectionable comment against Prophet Mohammed during a TV debeate.
