After 10 months of state budget announcements, a cyber police station is opened at Udaipur on Friday 30 December, 2022. Last February, when the budget for 2022-23 was released, CM Ashok Gehlot gave orders to create a unique cyber police station in each district.

Online frauds were happening in the city on which cyber expert Manas Trivedi said that this is a good initiative of the police to stop the daily cyber crime in the district. With the establishment of the cyber crime station, the police would be able to crack down on fraudsters because all officers assigned to police stations will solely investigate cyber-related crimes.

The cyber station will now be focused on disclosing cybercrime instances. In some ways, this will be a unique unit that will solely examine instances involving cybercrime. Investigation will take place in addition to the registration of cybercrime cases in other police stations around the area.
