The Meteorological Center, Jaipur, has installed new RVR equipment to strengthen and modernize aviation meteorological services at Udaipur airport. This has also been set up at Kishangarh Airport. With the installation of these instruments, the meteorological services have been upgraded. Near the runway, instruments based on the Forward Scattering principle have been placed and commissioned.

Monitoring and accurate information on severe winds and unexpected changes in weather are essential with this equipment. According to Radheshyam Sharma, director of the Meteorological Center in Jaipur, this equipment can analyze numerous meteorological phenomena such as rain and thunderstorms, fog, air pollution, and other unexpected reductions or changes in visibility.

This instrument measures visibility properly based on low light generated by particles in the air such as dust, smog, smoke, and water droplets from front skating equipment.

A Meteorological Center Jaipur technical team installed this instrument. According to Radheshyam Sharma, this technology has already been installed and tested at the Jaipur airport. Following that, the equipment was placed in the Jodhpur airport, and its testing was similarly successful. The Meteorological Department strives to provide accurate information to the general public and other departments on a regular basis.
