The Rajasmand Police, on its official Twitter handle, has refuted a piece of news that was published in the Rajasamand edition of a leading daily newspaper, stating that the Cleric of a Masjid in Bheem was the brother of one of the prime accused in the Udaipur tailor murder.

In the news post published in the 30 June of the leading daily, it was mentioned that the prime accused in the Udaipur murder case had been arrested from Rajsamand, which is factual. However, the news post added that the Maulana (Cleric) of a Masjid in Bheem (from where the accused were arrested) is the brother of Mohammad Riya Attari, the prime accused in the murder of Kanhaiya Lal, which is not true.

Rajasmand Police have refuted the fake news on their official Twitter handle on 1 July.

"This news is completely false. False information has been presented in it. The brother of the arrested accused Riyaz Mohammad of Udaipur incident has been described as the brother of Maulana of Bhim Masjid which is baseless. We request you to stop spreading fake news." - Rajsamand Police

As per sources, the Maulana is now living under dread after this news was published in the newspaper.  The Maulana from Bhim is from Uttar Pradesh as per information available, whereas Riyaz Mohammad, the prime accused in the murder, belongs to Bhilwara in Rajasthan.
