The largest EV charging network in India, Statiq, has added yet another installation to its ever-growing number of charging stations in the country as part of its nationwide growth effort. Statiq launched a charging station at Nexus Celebration Mall Udaipur in collaboration with Nexus Malls, providing the EV mobility in the city and its surrounding area with much-needed push.
Two quick EV DC Chargers of 60 KW each are included in the charging station's setup, allowing it to accommodate the charging of any electric vehicle on the Indian market. The cars can only be charged 80% of the way in roughly 40 minutes.
Charging stations, also known as electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE), are offered by commercial enterprises or municipal utilities at retail shopping malls or parking lots. Special connections that adhere to the various requirements for electric charging connectors are offered by these stations. Electric automobiles, neighbourhood electric cars, and plug-in hybrids may all be recharged at an electric vehicle charging station. While some charging stations are more simple, others include more sophisticated features like Smart metering, cellular capabilities, and network access.
In fact, the firm plans to expand its relationship with Nexus Malls in the upcoming months as a part of a bigger strategy to construct 17 EV charging centres in as many as 13 cities throughout the nation. Udaipur, Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Mangalore, Chandigarh, Mysore, and Indore are among these cities. The new charging stations will be placed in the parking lots of Nexus Malls in each of these cities, providing quick charging options for EVs coming in and leaving.
"The government, working with corporate partners, has recently increased its development of Udaipur as a smart city. With our EV charging station, we want to do our small part to further the notion of a smart city, as green mobility is a logical complement to it. Nexus Malls is an excellent partner for us in this endeavour." - Mr. Bansal
