Udaipur railway station will be upgraded in the coming three years

The station will add new building, concourse and footbridges which will connect to sky walk

The Railway Administration will bring new developments to Udaipur station. 354 crore have been spent on this project even the price has been approved.  The agency has been given the project and work is under process. In 36 months, the station redevelopment project will be finished. 

According to Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, the redevelopment work of Udaipur station is progressing at a rapid pace under the able guidance of General Manager Mr. Vijay Sharma. The LOA for the work has been issued by the Railways to the construction company of Udaipur. Efforts have been started by the company to raise resources for station development by appointing a representative.

At Udaipur station, construction is currently taking place for the site office, site laboratory, and labour camp. The station area will be elevated by adding parking spaces, separate arrival/departure gates, security checking areas, a concourse area measuring 72 meters wide, 20 new lifts, and 26 new escalators to the main station building. Both of the station's foot overbridges will have access to the sky walk. 

The station will have a baggage scanner, coach indicator, retail stalls, restrooms, executive waiting room, and many other contemporary passenger amenities. The entire project will have green building features that use renewable energy to reduce energy consumption during operation and maintenance as well as during construction. in addition to resources like rainwater harvesting, waste processing, etc. 

Captain Shashi Kiran informed that the existing railway offices will be temporarily shifted to other places for station development work. The station redevelopment work will be completed in five phases. This work of station redevelopment will be completed in 3 years.
