Woman ends life with two of her minor children at Dungarpur

In a bizzare incident, a 25 year old woman along with two of her children committed suicide by hanging her children alongside herself from the ceiling of a room at their house in Chela Kherwara village of Dungarpur district on Wednesday.
The harrowing incident came to light when Kokila, sister-in-law of the deceased woman Sumitra Katara reached their house to meet them. She found the gate locked from inside, and when she looked through the window she saw bodies bodies hanging from the ceiling. Sumitra and two of her children 5 year old Naresh and 4 year old Deepak were hanging from the ceiling. Kokila raised the alarm and informed her husband Amrit Lal, who later informed Sumitra's husband Devi Lal Katara who works at Udaipur.
Upon getting the information of the mishap, Devi Lal rushed back to his house at the village. Meanwhile, a police team had also reached the spot and launched an investigation. The ddead bodies of the three were still left hanging from the ceiling as no one from Sumitra's maternal family had reached the scene of the incident.

Deputy SP Rakesh Sharma said that Devi Lal Katara hails from Chela Kherwara village of Dungarpur, his village Sumitra and two sons Naresh and stays at theor house at village while Devi Lal stays at Udaipur and works as a labour. 10 days ago, Devi Lal, who was staying with his family from last few days returned back to Udaipur and his family members were alone at their house. Sharma further informed that no suicide note has been recovered from the spot and reason for such an act was still not identified.
