Today, like any other day, Chaman Singh got rescue calls from various areas of the city. Singh rescued an Antelop, commonly known as Neelgai, from a well. Then he went to a school to showcase snake show as a part of general awareness program for students.
Lastly, Chaman Singh rescued a beautiful and rare Green Keel Back Snake nearby Umarda village.
Rescue of Young Antelope ‘Nilgai’ or Blue Bull from an open Well
Singh reached the village near Loyra village and went into a field where he saw this young antelope who was struggling for his life after falling in a dried open well. Without wasting time, he climbed down the well with the help of ladder and ropes, tied up the young blue bull and then pulled it out safely.
The young antelope, after being safely rescued, ran away into the dense vegetation nearby.
A Snake Show at Government Seconday School Bedwas
Then Chaman moved to a government school at Bedwas, where he showed different types of snakes to the students. The students as well as teachers were amazed to see Chaman handling the snakes. In this informative snake show Chaman Singh told that there are only 4 species of snakes which are poisonous namely Cobra, Russell’s viper, Saw Scaled Viper, Common Krait.
He told that most of the people die due to shock even if a non poisonous snake bites them. Some people are seen often confused between a viper and a python. Singh explained that Python and vipers have different patterns on their skin.
He said while Python is a non-venomous Constrictor, a snake that kills its prey by coiling tightly around it causing suffocation, viper is deadly venomous and responsible for most of the human deaths across India. He told that these animals are said to be human friendly as they kill rats that destroys crops.
In this show School Principal Kamal Kant Ameta, School Staff and large number of students were present.
