Members of Anti Corruption department carried out a sudden raid at MB hospital today. The ACB team inspected documents at Medical Relief Society and noted details of the free examinations conducted by the society and the distribution of free medicines to the patients. 

As per media sources, the raid was conducted by four teams from Special Unit, Udaipur, Chittorgarh and Rajsamand. The enquiries were carried out at free medicine distribution centres of the hospital.

Brijesh Soni, Additional SP, ACB said that they had received complaints of a medicine scam against the society and were investigating the same. He said ACB is currently verifying records of free and paid medicines doled out by the society.

He also mentioned that there was a noted difference between the actual amount received from patients and the pharmaceuticals sold and tests recorded. ACB team is also currently interrogating the contractor who holds the contract for carrying out various tests in the hospital.
