In recent times, the pursuit of social media fame has led to several tragic accidents. Individuals attempting to create viral content have engaged in increasingly risky behavior, at times with near fatal or fatal consequences. Here are the three recent incidents where reel-making turned deadly.

Debari Bypass Accident

A horrific accident occurred on the Debari Bypass when a driver, attempting to create a reel, overtook three vehicles at high speed. The speeding car caused all three vehicles to lose control and collide. The accident left a young bike rider with severe injuries to his arms and legs. The incident took place around 6:00 PM on June 26,2024 on Debari Amberi Highway. After causing the collision, the young men in the car fled the scene.

Goverdhan Vilas Tragedy

In the Lai village of the Goverdhan Vilas area, a man died after slipping and falling into a water-filled area with stones from a height of approximately 150 feet while making a reel. 

Kota Student Accident

A 22-year-old undergraduate student, Yashwant Nagar, died after accidentally firing a country-made pistol while making a reel. The incident occurred at a tea stall in the Mahaveer Nagar police station area of Kota. Yashwant, a resident of Manhorthana area in Jhalawar district, was studying for a bachelor's degree in humanities. He was making a reel with a friend when the pistol's trigger was accidentally pulled, resulting in a fatal shot to his chest.
