4 years back a lot of plantation was done on various crossroads and main routes of Udaipur. This was part of beautification process of the city. The entire project was carried out under “Action Udaipur” and attracted a budget of crores of rupees. Sadly, these “Action Udaipur” plants have dried up in the absence of appropriate action.

From Sevashram to Sunderwas, city’s VIP road, plants that were planted during beautification process have either dried or died. They were meant to add to the beauty of the city, instead they are a blotch on the beauty now.

People have presented a memorandum to the Collector in this matter. It has been demanded that new plantation be done after removing the dead ones and proper care be taken for the plants.
