Adhiraj Singh wins Silver at National Shooting

Adhiraj Singh Kelwa, 16, won an individual silver medal and team gold medal (Rajasthan team) at the 55th Shotgun Shooting Championship held at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges in Delhi. According to Raghvendra Singh, President of the Rajsamand Rifle Shooting Association, Adhiraj Singh shot 101 clay targets out of 125. In this 3 day event, shooters needed to shoot 3 rounds of 25 targets on the 2nd day and 2 rounds of 25 targets on the 3rd day.

Adhiraj Singh Kelwa, 16, won an individual silver medal and team gold medal (Rajasthan team) at the 55th Shotgun Shooting Championship held at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges in Delhi.

According to Raghvendra Singh, President of the Rajsamand Rifle Shooting Association, Adhiraj Singh shot 101 clay targets out of 125. In this 3 day event, shooters needed to shoot 3 rounds of 25 targets on the 2nd day and 2 rounds of 25 targets on the 3rd day.

After winning the Silver medal, Adhiraj Singh along with J.S. Sharan of Karnataka and Mavaditya Singh of Haryana have been selected in the Indian Shooting Team.

J.S. Sharan from Karnataka won the Gold medal; he shot 105 targets out of 125. The bronze medal medal went to Mavaditya Rathore who shot 99 out of 125. Medals were awarded to the shooters by the President of National Rifle Shooting Association of India, Raninder Singh Ji and Randhir Singh Ji Patiala.

The Rajasthan team won the Gold medal with 275 targets. Members of the team were Adhiraj Singh Rathore, Adhay Singh Rathore and Janmayjay Singh Rathore. The team Silver medal went to the U.P. team. Adhiraj is a class 10th Student at the Mayo College in Ajmer and is grandson of the former Vice President of B.N. Sansthan, Dr. Omkar Singh Rathore.
