Praveen Ratalia is actively involved in providing warmth to the needy during winters. His “Suhani Sardi” campaign is not a strange name in today’s households.

BUT administration has issued notice to Praveen Ratalia directing him not to distribute woollen wear during the election season. District Election Department has issued a notice asking to keep a hold on the “Suhani Sardi” campaign till the elections are over. The notice issued says that the dates of this campaign were circulated through social media wherein it was declared that one lakh sweaters will be distributed among the poor and needy school children. The notice also said that this declaration and advertising is against the Aachar Sanhita (Code of Conduct) and it must be stopped till the elections are over.

As per Ratalia, “Suhani Sardi” is not an NGO. It is not being conducted for the first time. This is the 13^th year when under this project, the poor and the needy school children are being helped. ADM City Sanjay Kumar said that Ratalia is constantly advertising the project. If he chooses to be elected or if he supports someone in elections, then too many questions will be raised. ADM City also said that Ratalia should have informed election department about his project.
