Adventure Trekking and Environment Education go hand in hand on Friendship Day
The Forest Department organised an eco-trekking in the hills around Badi Lake on the occasion of Friendship Day today. The event saw immense participation of the local populace, where friends got together at the venue to enjoy a grand get together in the pleasant weather surrounded by an eye catching natural surroundings.
The Forest Department organised an eco-trekking in the hills around Badi Lake on the occasion of Friendship Day today. Forest department arranged for a workshop on rock climbing and rappling sports. The drive started from Chetak office of the department, around 3 pm this afternoon.
According N.C. Jain, Chief Forest Officer, during this trekking exercise participants were briefed about advantages of planting trees, where experts also shared information of various species of trees. The participants planted saplings on the terrain land of high hills.
N.C Jain also informed that similar activities would be organised in days to come, so that a sense of awareness could be spread among the locals, for conserving nature.
