Udaipur, January 1, 2025 - From today, January 1, Ajmer Discom will start spot billing facility and electricity bills will be issued every month instead of every two months like it is being done. This is for domestic and commercial consumers, whereas agricultural consumers will still receive bills every two months as before. Additionally, instead of going to the office to pay the bill, it can now be paid on the spot.

The Ajmer Discom management has completed preparations for this and to facilitate this, the old system was shut down last night and work on the new system has begun.

Under the new system, field staff will visit consumers' homes and shops, generate bills on the spot using the spot billing machine, and hand them over. After that, consumers can pay the bill online immediately or visit the department's office within the next 10 days to make the payment. The consumer will have a 10-day window to pay the bill from the date of bill generation.
