In a bid to combat ongoing challenges with electricity losses, Ajmer Discom, a digitalized power utility, has set ambitious targets for the fiscal year 2024-25. Despite notable progress, engineers continue to grapple with reducing losses entirely.

Currently, the electricity loss stands at approximately 10%, with Ajmer Discom aiming to bring this figure down to 9.20%. Across the Udaipur zone, disparities in losses are evident, with the highest recorded at 11.61%  in the recently established district of Salumber, and the lowest at 4.12% in Dungarpur.

Under the leadership of Ajmer Discom's Managing Director, KP Verma, concerted efforts are underway to address this issue. Recently, all district officials have been tasked with the responsibility of actively working towards reducing losses in their respective areas.
