It is a spine chilling winter and it has claimed lives in some places in India. Udaipur recorded a minimum temperature of 3.2 degrees and the mere mention of more dropdown is creating shivers.

The temperature on Friday is reportedly the lowest of temperatures recorded in this season till date. Post the snowfall in Himachal, the winds coming from the northern region have created a situation of wind storm. 

Places like Mount Abu touched the minus 1 level. Jaipur was at 4 degrees and Fatehpur was at (-3) degrees. Frost has been observed on the vegetation in many areas. It has also been reported that vehicles, roof tops, fields etc. were covered with frozen dews and many solar panels broke. 

In Alwar winter claimed life of a woman and her body was found at the railway station. The next 48 hours are going to be even more chilled. 31st December or the New Year eve may prove to be extremely chilled. Snowfall is expected in the Northern mountain regions.
