Lockdown is back as corona virus started taking its toll on people this winter season. State government has amended its guidelines and declared a complete lockdown in the containment zones. Apart from essential services, every activity is under strict prohibition.

The guidelines also state that if any person comes in contact with a covid positive person, he or she will be tracked and placed under 14-day quarantine period. The containment zone will be marked and notified on micro level. The list of such areas will be shared with the Ministry for Health and Family Welfare. The medical teams will provide a list of covid positives to the relevant police stations on daily basis. The beat constables will keep a watch over such people and also visit once in three days to ensure that the infected person doesn’t leave home at all during the quarantine period. Directives will be issued for enforcing Section 144 in all containment zones.

All schools, colleges and coaching institutes to remain closed until 31st December as per the new guidelines. Online classes will continue and 50 percent of teaching and non-teaching staff will be allowed in the premises. Students from 9th to 12th standard can go to school for any kind of guidance but a written permission from parents is mandatory.

Recreational centres, multiplexes, religious and political gatherings etc. will remain closed. Mass gatherings are not permitted and any one overstepping the law will be penalised as per the previously issued guidelines. The administration will follow the guidelines even more strictly. Penalty of 500 rupees for people not wearing masks, 25000 rupees for having a gathering more than 100 people during wedding functions. Every gathering will have display banners with “No Mask No Entry” written on them and to be followed strictly.

13 districts including Udaipur to have night curfew from 8 pm to 6 am. These districts are Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Kota, Alwar, Bikaner, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Nagaur, Pali, Tonk, Sikar and Sriganganagar. All markets have been directed to close by 7 pm to avoid any kind of rush. Interstate transportation and travel does not require any permission yet the number of passengers have been decided and if not followed will attract punishment.

The guidelines must be followed strictly to stay safe. The rate at which corona virus is  taking its toll on people is quite alarming and with the winter season it is likely to grow stronger. STAY HOME, STAY SAFE...MASK IS THE ONLY VACCINE AS OF NOW.
