With the grand pre-wedding function of Isha Ambani lined up for December 8-9, 2018 in Udaipur, all is not going as per the Ambani family plan. The event management company had planned quite a few elements that did not go down well with the lake conservation committee and request for those requirements was turned down. Some exceptions, however, were granted.

Event company managing the Ambani pre-wedding show had requested for pyrotechnic display (firecracker bursting) on a pontoon in the lake. This request was turned down outright by the lake conservation committee. The committee observed that bursting firecrackers would lead to pollution in the lake.

Request by the event management company for an animal and bird show inside the lake was also turned down by the committee.

A few exception requests were however granted. Permission was granted for setting up a fair on the grounds of Udai Vilas and conducting a show depicting Rajasthani culture and heritage. Setting up of temporary stalls have also been permitted during the event. Floating water fountain have also been permitted along with a grand display of light and sound show.

A few permissions have been kept in abeyance and have been forwarded to State Government for their inputs. These include setting up a temporary pontoon with a capacity of 1000 guests at Udai Vilas entrance. Permission has been sought for another pontoon where a statue of Srinathji will be hosted. Finally, request for 10 additional boats for ferrying guests has also been forwarded.
