A pleasant weather gave immediate relief from the scorching summer as continuous mild showers cooled the City of Lakes today.

A cloudy morning followed by mild to heavy drizzling, which started from around 9 am continued till late afternoon in many parts of Udaipur.

Though the untimely rain brought respite from rising mercury levels, to the urban population, it was unpleasant news for the farmers who had their crops standing tall in fields partially ruined due to the rain. Even the stock that was harvested and stashed in the open was partially ruined.

Many minor road accidents were also reported today from several areas due to the wet and slippery roads. Our sources state that more than 6 vehicles crashed in a random queue at the Sevashram over bridge.

No one was severely injured in the accident. We also got updates about similar cases on the M.B. College Road as well as near Sukhadia Circle.
