Udaipur's Anaisha Honoured with Maharashtra Ratna Puraskar 2026

Nine-year-old Anaisha Vijayvergia from Udaipur wins Maharashtra Ratna Puraskar 2026 in Mumbai; she has received over 100 awards for her excellence in dance and storytelling

March 18, 2026 - Anaisha Vijayvergia, a multi-talented nine year old from Udaipur, was felicitated with the Maharashtra Ratna Puraskar 2026 in a ceremony on March 14, 2026, in Mumbai. She received the award from Bollywood actress Isha Koppikar.

Anaisha, the granddaughter of Udaipur residents Suresh and Dr Kusum Vijayvergia, Anaisha has received over 100 awards for her excellence in dance and storytelling at national and international levels. She has received recognition from the India Book of Records, Global Child Prodigy Awards, World Book of Records, London, and International Book of Records.

Recently, she was honoured with the prestigious Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Bharat Puraskar in Mumbai.

Anaisha has also been named the “Youngest Icon of India” and received Maharashtra Government awards including “Pillars of Maharashtra” and “Iconic Brand of Maharashtra.”

A winner of national dance competitions like Nrutya Anubhuti and Mumbai Mahotsav, Anaisha dreams of becoming a professional Kathak dancer.
