Udaipur witnessed mass protest over the death of Sarabjit Singh, an Indian national imprisoned in Pakistan since 1990. Sarabjit Singh died at Lahore’s Jinnah Hospital today, after he was brutally attacked by inmates in Kot Lakhpat Jail few days ago.

Protestors burnt Pakistan’s effigy and demonstrated at Surajpol The gathered crowd also accused Pakistan government for its alleged involvement in fatal attack on Singh as a response to the death sentence of Afzal Guru, who was convicted for attack on Indian Parliament.

Singh who was in coma after the attack was declared dead on 2 May at 1:30 IST. According to latest media report, Pakistan agreed to handover Singh’s body to India.

Series of protests and demonstrations have been reported from various cities of India over Sarabjit Singh’s death.
