On Tuesday,December 5, 2023, the launch of an awareness campaign aimed at preventing misuse of intoxicating drugs occurred. DLSA Secretary Kuldeep Sharma revealed that the unveiling of the campaign's poster was carried out by Police Inspector General Ajay Pal Lamba, District Collector Arvind Kumar Poswal, TAD Commissioner Tarachand Meena and ADM Shailesh Surana.

Sharma clarified that the ongoing campaign aims to raise awareness among schoolchildren and college students throughout the city regarding the harmful effects of substance use, encouraging them to quit. Additionally, a mobile ban is being implemented, extending its reach to villages and towns across the district.

The initiative seeks to convey a crucial message to adolescents and young adults, emphasizing the importance of staying away from these harmful substances. By highlighting the detrimental effects of addiction, the campaign aims to promote a healthier lifestyle and discourage substance abuse.
