The Udaipur Municipal Council (UMC) started an encroachment drive near Mohta Park and Sukhadia Circle, and removed many hawkers standing by the road side.

The Udaipur Municipal Council (UMC) started an encroachment drive near Mohta Park and Sukhadia Circle, and removed many hawkers standing by the road side. The drive would be extended for Ten Days in same area, so that busy roads could be freed from any encroachment.

According to Durgesh Sharma, President, Regulation Committee, “The hawkers standing by the road sides tends to create unwanted hindrance in traffic. All these hawkers have been warned without ceasing any of their belongings, but if are found doing business by the roadside then strict action will be taken against them.

Durgesh Sharma further informed that UMC has also initiated talks with Traffic Management regarding such encroachments. The Traffic Police will ensure that these encroached places could be converted into suitable parking spaces.
