The Annual Function of Maharana Mewar Public School (MMPS) and Maharana Mewar Vidya Mandir (MMVM) was graced by the presence of Chief of the Indian Army, General Vijay Kumar Singh who presented his thoughts at the event held at Hotel Shikarbadi today morning.

The General reached Shikarbadi at 9:30 today morning, amid tight security. He was welcome by Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar, Chairman and Trustee of Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation and Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Executive Director, HRH Group of Hotels, along with the student and staff of MMPS in the presence of the audience.

Students of both MMPS and MMVM presented a cultural program, which consisted of musical performances and classical dances that overwhelmed the esteemed guests.

Later in the function, General V.K Singh and Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar exchanged souvenirs. General. Singh presented an Indian Army memento and a book title “North East Trilogy” while Shriji presented an Imperial sword to the General.

In his short address to the students, General Singh expressed his views on education and opportunities in the Indian Army for the youth. He suggested students to serve the nation by joining the Indian Army.

Soon after the speech, a prize distribution ceremony was conducted, where NCC students were awarded for their achievements. The Best All Rounder Student and the Best House were also awarded by General Singh.

The program concluded at 10:30 am as General V.K Singh left for Jaipur to attend a meet at the Pratap University.
