Udaipur, March 16, 2025: Shri ji Arvind Singh Mewar of Udaipur breathed his last on March 16, 2025, aged 80. He had been unwell and bedridden for quite a while. His demise comes 4 months after the death of his elder brother, Mahendra Singh Ji Mewar, who breathed his last on November 10, 2024.
As per the official announcement from the offices of Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, well wishers can pay their final homage to the deceased custodian of the kingdom of Mewar from 7am on March 17, 2025 at his residence. His funeral procession will begin at 11am on March 17, 2025. The procession will begin from Shambhu Niwas, head towards Badi Pol, Jagdish Chowk, Ghantaghar, Bada Bazar and Delhi Gate, on its way towards Mahasatiya at Ayad for the final rites.
Arvind Singh Ji the younger son of Maharana Bhagwat Singh Mewar of Udaipur and Sushila Kumari, and grandson of Maharana Bhupal Singh. He was married to Princess Vijayaraja of Kutch and leaves behind two daughters, Padmaja and Bhargavi and son Laksharaj Singh Mewar. Many political and business leaders have paid their homage to the late Arvind Singh Mewar, who had a substantial presence in the corporate and political arena, specially through his charity organisation, Maharana Mewar Foundation. He and his family have hosted many dignitaries from around the world.
