Asha Dham Ashram is to organize a cultural event for raising funds to pay off the recently allotted land. The program was initially planned to be held on 26^th May, but due to some reasons society has postponed this event until 9^th June, which would be jointly organized by Asha Dham Ashram and Sarv Dharm Maitri Sangh at Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal.

Today, in conversation with local media Fr. Dr. Norbert Herman SVD of Maitri Sadan informed that in this cultural night scheduled on 9^th June Musical Band ‘Rooh’ and laughter show by artists of Maitri Sadan will perform for the noble cause.

According to Sister Damian, Secretary of Asha Dham, the activity is planned to raise funds for the recently allotted land, this 10.5 acre of land was booked in the name of Asha Dham with future development aspects. The land costing Rs. 120 per sq. feet was re-discounted by State government and rate is revised to Rs. 12 per sq. feet, totaling to nearly Rs. 32 lac and the same is to be paid within a month’s duration.

Sister Damian further added that around 150 destitute reside in this Ashram, where for with generous contributions of food, clothes, bags and other needful things, including cash has been received. Now the Ashram is looking forward for input for paying off for the land, which will be developed with number of facilities like old age home, hospitals, library and garden.
