In an explicit case of rash driving, a high speed auto rickshaw carrying one passenger crashed with a car at Swaroop Sagar road. The spot of the accident occurred on the sharp turn going towards Chetak Circle.

The fatal accident resulted in the death of an elderly woman passenger, while the rickshaw driver has received slight injuries.

Mohini Devi (58) w/o Mohanlal Meghwal had taken the auto rickshaw from her residence at Old Colony, Ambamata to Nagar Parishad, Town Hall at around 11:15 am today.

While passing from Swaroop Sagar Bridge, the fast moving rickshaw lost balance and smashed to the car coming from other side. The crash was so severe that the rickshaw tumbled several times, injuring both the driver and passenger.

Mohini Devi was seriously injured and was rushed to MB Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries while being treated in the Neurology ward. Her body was sent for postmortem and later handed over to her relatives.
