Udaipur, March 19, 2025 - The UDA started a major demolition drive on Tuesday, March 18,2025, to widen the main road in Badgaon. The road will be expanded to 60 feet. As part of this process, UDA demolished one house and five shops. A total of 14 houses will be removed for the project.

Commissioner Rahul Jain said that the proposal to widen the road was approved in 2022. However, some homeowners opposed it and filed a court appeal, delaying the work.

After long negotiations, the homeowners agreed to the demolition after being offered 2.5 times the Badgaon DLC rate. The demolition drive will continue, and road construction will begin soon.
