Udaipur is set to move to Bagheri ka Naka this weekend with water starting to overflow earlier this week. With a capacity of 32.8 ft, the dam finally spilled over this Tuesday evening with water coming in from the catchment area.

The dam has overflowed 12 times in the 14 years since its construction. Bagheri dam is fed into by Banas river. The dam started receiving water owing to good rainfall in Kumbalgarh, Gogunda and in nearby mountains. With overflowing, the water will now move towards filling up Nandsamand.

The dam has seen an overflow every year since 2005 except 2008 and 2009.
