Bagore Ki Haveli, Udaipur, has been ranked in the third position in the list for the Indian winners of Tripadvisors Travellers’ Choice awards for Museums. The list was topped by Victoria Memorial in Kolkata.

According to Tripadvisor, a travel website, the award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for museums worldwide, gathered over a 12-month period.

While Victoria Memorial Kolkata took the first spot, City Palace Of Jaipur was rated at the second position by the readers. Yodhasthal in Bhopal and Leh’s Hall of Fame took the fourth and fifth spots respectively.

Bagore ki haveli has 138 rooms along with a museum and a cultural centre to showcase the traditional cultural and folk dance forms. The haveli has glass and mirror in the interiors. Two peacocks carved out from small coloured glass pieces are examples of glasswork. There are illustrations of Mewar paintings on the walls in the Queen’s Chamber.

New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art was ranked as the Top Museum in the world. It has now been ranked as No.1 for the third consecutive year.
