A leopard injured 7 people near Gogunda village and was being searched for around 5 days. Finally it could be trapped on Thursday by laying bait in the cage.

There were reports of leopard attack in Bhutala and Kadmal villages. 7 villagers were injured by the leopard and the forest department of Gogunda was constantly searching for this beast. As informed by the forest officer Dilip Singh, the department planned a bait to entrap the leopard and they succeeded on Thursday as the leopard was drawn into the cage by the bait.

 The injured villagers who were attacked on 5th and 6th January were taken to MB Hospital in Udaipur for treatment. One villager was injured in a sudden attack while he was sitting by the fire with one other villager. The leopard had dug its teeth in the head of this villager. The others who were attacked were out on their daily schedule of cattle grazing.
