Bangladesh Resumes Visa Services for Indians

The Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi has resumed all visa services for Indian citizens after nearly two months; decision comes days after Tarique Rahman assumed office as Bangladesh’s Prime Minister

Feb 21, 2026 - The Bangladesh High Commission has resumed all visa services for Indian nationals which had been suspended for nearly two months. The decision comes just four days after Tarique Rahman assumed office as the new Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

On Friday, February 21, the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi resumed all consular operations. Tourist, medical, business, work and all other category of visas have been restarted.

Bangladesh had suspended visas for Indians since December 2025 following diplomatic tensions between the two countries during the political turbulence in Bangladesh.
