Arvind Kumar Poswal, the District Collector of Udaipur, visited Badgaon to oversee the distribution of Indira Gandhi Smartphones at Mahatma Gandhi School. During his visit, he observed the deplorable state of the Government Primary School in Badgaon, which appeared to be no better than a slum. The appalling condition of the school took the District Collector by surprise, and the local residents brought the dire state of the school to his attention at that time.

Sarpanch Sanjay Sharma and Panchayati Samiti Bhuvnesh Vyas expressed that the residents in this area are residing in unauthorized huts constructed within the school boundaries. As a result, the students' ability to study is hindered, as they lack a conducive learning environment. They emphasized that these circumstances are depriving them of the necessary conditions for education. Additionally, they highlighted that the routine burning of waste is contributing to the pollution of the area.

This stands as just one example among many instances in the past, all pointing to the challenges children encounter in accessing their education. A recent case that garnered attention occurred in the village of Aad within the Udaipur district. In this scenario, children undertake a daily journey of approximately 8 km to reach the Government Higher Secondary School located in Alsigarh. Moreover, this school, too, lacks adequate transportation facilities for its students.

The Sarpanch further emphasized that the drains constructed by the Municipal Corporation have been encroached upon by the residents, leading to the construction of huts. This encroachment has consequently had a detrimental impact on the cleanliness of the area.
