Five of the six passengers that sunk with the Bayesian Superyacht off the Sicilian coast on 19 August, have been found by the divers. Four of them have been recovered and transported to shore, as per media reports.
Rescuers from the Italian Coastguard, have spent all of the 5 days searching for the bodies after the yacht capsized in Italian waters. Of the 22 passengers on board the superyacht, four British and two Americans are feared dead. These include UK Techpreneur Mike Lynch, his daughter Hannah Lynch, Jonathan Bloomer, the Chairman of Morgan Stanley Bank International and his wife Judy Bloomer, along with American jewellery designer Neda Morvillo and her husband Chris.
While the first two bodies found were brought on shore on Wednesday, 21 August, two more bodies were pulled out the same evening and search was halted as night fell. None of the bodies have been formally identified at the time of this post being published. Authorities say that all the bodies will be recovered and brought to shore, and as per Italian laws, the families of those recovered will be contacted and only the families will formally identify the bodies to officially certify the deaths as per a BBC report.
