Delivery of a baby girl took place in the Udaipur Indore express a couple of days back. Both the baby girl and the mother are doing fine and currently recovering in an hospital.Sita (w/o Rakesh) had gone with her family to serve as labourer in Neemuch. On the upcoming occassion of Diwali, the family boarded the train Udaipur-Indore express to Ratlam. Sita was travelling with her husband, two sons and another lady.

Sita started experiencing severe labour pain near Naoganwa station. She then delivered the baby. Quite a few ladies in the compartment came forward for her support. However, given that none of them knew how to cut the umbilical cord, the baby was kept connected to her mother till the train reached Ratlam station.

On reaching Ratlam, passengers rushed and informed the security force at station who then organised for an ambulance to rush to the spot and take the mother-child duo to hospital.

The girl has been named Laxmi by her father.
