Madness took over two brothers yesterday in Banswara when they badly hit their own sister and her friend and tried to set them both on fire. Both the ladies somehow managed to escape and registered a police complaint.

The case refers to a commercial colony in Banswara. The complainant said that she stays in a rented room in a commercial colony in Banswara. On Thursday, her female friend came to her room and asked her for her phone. She then started talking with someone on the phone.

While this lady was talking on the phone, her brothers, Kalu and Harshit came over. When they saw their sister talking on the phone, they lost their temper. They asked her who was she talking to. They then went to the room of the lady who had given her the phone and started physically assaulting her. After hitting her, they tried to set her on fire after pouring kerosene on her. She somehow managed to run away and reached the police station.

Police immediately reached the spot with the victim but the two brothers had by then fled from the scene. Police later carried out a search operation and nabbed them.

Sister of the two accused also said in her statement to Police that her brothers also hit her and tried to set her on fire. She also somehow managed to escape the scene.
