In a major boost to Chittorgarh tourism, country’s first panorama on Lord Parshuram, the sixth avataar of Lord Vishnu, will be set up at Matrakundiya in Chittorgarh district.
Foundation stone for Parshuram Panorama was laid by CM Vasundhara Raje. The project will be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.8 Crore Rupees.
Incidentally, Matrakundiya is the place where Parshuram had come for penance to expiate his sin of killing his mother. He had done so at the behest of his father.
CM Raje said that tourists coming from all around will find the panorama educative as well as interesting and will throw light about the richness of our culture and heritage.
The panorama would play host to 342- year- old pictorial manuscript related to Hindu mythology and religious texts.
