Mrigvan, Chittorgarh fort, is a large reserved area and has many animals and historical places to be visited. Sunday morning, this forest caught fire. In the massive fire, vegetation got burnt to ashes. The fort’s gardener Satya Narayan Mali has been arrested as a suspect and is being interrogated. Prima facie, he is the one who could have set fire though reasons behind this accusation have not been made clear.

It is a matter of relief that the animals mainly sambhar and cheetal are safe and have not been affected by fire in any way. More than half the forest got burnt in the fire.
