A woman was poisoned by her husband and in-laws at home. Court has sentenced these culprits for life on Thursday. 15 years after her marriage, Paras Kanwar was poisoned to death by her husband Pappu Nath, mother-in-law and one close relative. They used to torture the deceased very often for dowry.

As per reports, the victim’s father had filed a report in 2012 in Mavli police station. His daughter was married to Pappu Nath 15 years back and had 2 kids. She was being tortured constantly for getting more dowry. Because of torture, Paras Kanwar had moved to her parents’ house but she was taken back to her in-law’s place by her husband fearing social defamation. Pappu Nath even promised his father-in-law that he would no longer torture her and live peacefully with her. After getting back to in-laws’ house, Paras Kanwar was made to live in a separate building. Her husband used to hit her every day after drinking a lot. One day, husband along with his mother and a close relative poisoned Paras Kanwar.

All three culprits have been sentenced for life by the court under Section 302 and cash penalty as well. The penalty amount will now be given to the children as per court’s orders.
