Rishabhdev police has seized a truck containing illegal liquor worth 30 lakh rupees. This liquor was being smuggled to Gujarat. The liquor cartons were hidden under 300 batteries of a reputed company.

Reportedly, the worth of these batteries is more than the worth of liquor. It is being said police seized this truck based on the details given by an informer, but probably the fact is that it was spotted during barricading which is a result of the series of murders happening in the city.

Barricading was done at Ahmedabad highway near Balaji hotel. A truck was seen coming from Udaipur route and police tried to stop it. The truck driver instead of stopping the truck sped through the barricading and escaped checking at this check point. Police followed this truck to some distance. The truck driver then left the truck near a temple and ran away. Illegal liquor worth 30 lakh rupees was recovered from the truck.
