Internet services were suspended in Fatehnagar and Udaipur area after an objectionable posting was made on Facebook by a Fatehnagar resident. The matter turn extremely sensitive and Police immediately arrested ward 17 resident Saddam Khan Pathan from his resident.

Post arrest of the accused, senior position holders of all Hindu organizations reached the police station and demanded strong actions against the accused. As a precautionary measure, Police suspended internet services in the region to keep the situation from boiling over.

SHO Gehrilal Gurjar spoke to his seniors and proposed registering case against Saddam under section 153A, 153B. The Hindu organization leaders however demanded that a case of treason be registered against him. The leaders were finally pacified by Vallabhnagar Deputy Ghanshyam Sharma and a case under IT act was also registered against Saddam Khan.

A large police contingent has been deployed in Fatehnagar to keep the situation under control.
