Udaipur, 5 Nov: The district administration in Jaisalmer has launched an important drive to check regulatory violations by jeep safaris during the busy tourist season. This initiative aims to enhance the safety and security of visitors at popular tourist spots, ensuring they have a pleasant experience in the desert landscape.

Under the direction of District Collector Pratap Singh Nathawat, authorities carried out operations at the renowned tourist destination of Sam and Dunes. These areas are known for their stunning sand dunes and thrilling jeep safari experiences. However, the focus of the operation was on unauthorized vehicles operating jeep safaris without the necessary documentation and fitness certificates.

During the enforcement action, officials identified and took action against 25 non-commercial vehicles that were operating illegally. They confiscated nine of these vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations. This decisive action highlights the administration's commitment to maintaining high safety standards and protecting tourists from potential risks associated with unregulated safari operations.

The drive not only aims to uphold regulatory standards but also serves to educate both operators and visitors about the importance of safety and proper documentation.
