In a major break-through, Gogunda Police caught a car carrying 213 kg Doda Post (Opium leftover). The car was caught during a police roadblock near Mokela Chauraha. 2 accused were arrested from the car.

Doda Post is the leftover of opium poppy once its milk is extracted. Milk is used as base for most drugs but leftover is also addictive.

SHO Bhanwar Bishnoi informed that a blockade was put in place on NH 27 at Mokela Chauraha. During the police blockade, a white Skoda car was crossing by. Police signalled the car to stop. At first, the car stopped but shortly it increased its speed and tried to speed past after breaking barriers. The smugglers also hit a police jeep that was standing there.

On this, the policemen standing there started pelting stones on the car and nabbed the culprits afer breaking the car glasses. On searching the car, policeman found four bags containing 213 kg Doda Post that was being illegally smuggled by the accused.

During the operation, the smuggler’s car ran over one policeman’s foot injuring him.
