Nathdwara woman dies-10 injections for stomachache
A woman died after treatment for stomach ache.
A woman from Nathdwara died on Wednesday after being treated for stomach ache.
Pushpa Singh w/o Shambhu Singh resident of Upali Oden in Nathdwara suffered from severe stomach ache. She went to Bheru Nath clinic near the bus stand with her child Rahul. The doctor at the clinic Dr. Devi Lal Jaat injected her 10 times and also put her on drip. The amount taken for this treatment was 1100 rupees. After half the bottle of drip was over, the doctor took it off and sent Pushpa home.
Pushpa’s condition started deteriorating at home and she died. The family members got agitated and took her body and did a show down outside the clinic. They demanded arresting the doctor and compensation for Pushpa’s death. They said that they will not perform the final rites unless their demands are fulfilled. Police officers tried to pacify the family members until late night but in vain.
Nathdwara SI Mahipal Singh reached the clinic with team upon information of the incident. He tried to pacify the family who demanded that the doctor be called at the clinic. The family members have accused the doctor of charging for the medicines which he got from the government hospital. As per report given to the police, Pushpa was sent to the hospital with the kid when she suffered from stomach ache whereas her husband went to pay a visit to the deity. The case is under investigation.
