Contests and competitions certainly hold people’s interests. A unique contest was held in Austin for winning a car. This was all about kissing, and mind you, it was not about lip locking, it was all about staying glued to a car through lips…meaning it was about ‘kissing the car’.

Austin’s 96.7 KissFM held a competition called Kiss a KIA contest. The contestants were required to kiss a car for days on end.

The challenge posed was for winning 2017 KIA-Optima in Austin, Texas. People could be seen kissing the car constantly in which 7 people were seen hanging on for 48 hours. The competition initially had 20 people struggling to win out of which 11 stayed after 24 hours, the number came down to 7 later.

As per the contest, people could do what they wanted but their lips couldn’t leave the car. They were allowed only 10 minute washroom break each hour. Many started complaining of backaches after long hours of standing.

BUT, an Austin lady kept kissing the vehicle for 50 long hours and won the contest. 30 year old Dilini Jayasuriya won the new KIA Optima LX 2017 as she kept her lips glued to the vehicle with a strong determination to win, a superb example of how far people can go to win free items. She also proved that if you have the will to do something, nothing can keep you away from it.
