The jungle is on its was to becoming a natural money making machine, if all goes as planned in the recent decisions taken by the Forest Department, in handing over certain Tiger Zones for Safari purposes, to Private operators.

Once upon a time, National Parks were established with the purpose of conservation and protection of Wild life, but with so much of privatisation going on, the Forest Department perhaps too thought – well why not?

As per reports, ACS Forest NC Goyal, while participating in a book launch event at New Delhi on 22 September, met Officers from Ranthambore Forest Department and Wild Life Board Director, Valmik Thapar. New instructions regarding privatisation bids was announced subsequent to this meeting.
