The passenger, Abhishek Bhansali is a resident of Mahaveer colony, Bedla road, Udaipur. The incident dates back to 24 Nov 2014 when Bhansali took the ticket from Ajmer to Udaipur in the express train. He was allotted seat no 66 in AC Chair car for travel to Udaipur.

On boarding the train, Bhansali found the seat to be broken, tea table to be broken and the toilets soiled. On being informed, the TTE did not allot him a different seat and acting in an irresponsible manner asked Bhansali to lodge a complaint at Udaipur station.

On this, Bhansali went ahead and lodged a complaint with the consumer forum. The consumer forum bench headed by Randheer Singh Naruka along with Anubha Sharma found Railways to be guilty in the manner and directed the General Manager to pay the fine.
