Rajsamand killing: A case of Love Triangle also surfaces

The brutal killing in Rajsamand that left the entire nation (possibly entire humanity) shocked, seems to also have an element of a love triangle associated with it. A close friend of the accused Shambulal has said that he was in love with a Hindu girl who was apparently close to a Muslim man (not the killed Affarajul). Shambulal had become paranoid that the girl would elope with the man.

A media report suggested that Shambulal was beaten by Bengali labourers when he led a group of people to West Bengal for bringing back a minor girl who had run away with a Muslim man. Shambulal feared that the girl would again run away. Shambulal had become insecure that the girl that he loved would also elope since two such cases happened in their area 2-3 years back when girls had eloped with Muslim lovers.

Shambulal was hookd to alcohol and drugs and was out of business since demonetisation. He earlier earned his living via marble trade.

Shambulal had become so paranoid that he would take his kids along wherever he went. He was particularly worried that people would harm his younger daughter and so he made her accompany him wherever he went.
