2 drug traffickers were arrested by Mavli Police for possession and trafficking of 2 kg Opium. The two traffickers have been identified as Neeraj and Sampat Singh. As per details available, Police got a tip-off from an informer about 2 people being involved in drug trafficking for quite some time. Acting on the tip-off, Police set up check-posts at various locations around Mavli. During the checking, police got suspicious about 2 bikers and stopped them. On thorough checking, 2 kg Opium was recovered from the duo. It is estimated that the price of confiscated drugs would be around Rs 5 Lakhs in the international market. Police has started investigation and is now checking with them about the sources of their possessions and the intended destination.
